Preparation and dosage

Pour one cup (1/4 l) of boiling water over 1 tablespoon (5 g) of the mixture and strain after 15 minutes of infusing. The infusion must not boil. Drink warm 3 times a day. Sweeten, if desired. Do no sweeten for gargling or inhalation. Always prepare fresh infusion just before using.

Contraindication

Over-sensitivity to any of the components, pregnancy, and nursing, due to the preparation containing sage (15%).

Pour ¼ l of boiling water over 1-2 teaspoons and cover. Steep approximately 15 minutes. Then strain. Drink it warm 1 - 3 x daily, always freshly prepared, best of all before sleep. It has an effect after 8-12 hours. Do not use longer than 7 days.

Contraindication

Intestinal congestion, sudden abdominal episodes, inflammatory diseases of the colon, children up to 10 years of age, nursing mothers, women in the first free months of pregnancy. Use in later stages of pregnancy should only be considered following consultation with a doctor.

Warning

Persons with heart and kidney illnesses, accompanied by swellings, should be careful. Chronic usage can lead to dependence (habit-forming syndrome) which can cause fluid and electrolyte imbalance.

Preparation and dosage

If the doctor doesn’t state otherwise, pour 1/4 l of boiling water over 1-2 infusion bags and allow to steep for 10 minutes. The tea must always be prepared fresh and just before consumption. It is best consumed at night, 30-60 minutes before sleep. If needed, the beverage can also be used during the evening and then before retiring to sleep.For children 3 – 12 years of age, adjust the volume of beverage to be consumed in accordance with weight of the child. For children up to 40 kg, prepare 1 cup using 1 infusion bag; for children up to 25 kg, they should only consume ½ cup prepared in the same way.

Contraindication

Oversensitivity to any of the ingredients in the product by children up to 3 years of age, inflammation of the bile ducts, gallstones and other diseases of bile ducts. Because of the level of St. John’s wort in the product, do not serve this beverage to patients who have had an organ transplant or those who are HIV positive, who are being treated with protease inhibitors.

Warning

This product contains St. John’s wort – can result in a possible increased sensitivity to sunlight; and, at the same time, it can counter the effect of certain drugs used in the treatment of patients with HIV. The tea can reduce the effectiveness of cyclosporine and probably also of other drugs (digoxin, oral contraceptives, theophylline, warfarin, carbamazepine, phenobarbital, phenytoin, triptans). Inform your doctor about any use long-term use of products containing St. John’s wort.

A supplementary remedy for inflammatory diseases of the urinary tract (acute and infectious urological diseases, chronic inflammation of the urinary tract and acute and chronic inflammation of the bladder). The infusion is diuretic, has antiseptic (antibacterial) effects and relaxes smooth muscle spasms. Do not use for more than 2 weeks except on medical advice. Treatment may only be repeated up to 5 times a year. If the symptoms persist, seek medical advice.
